Preparing for the worst is many times focused on the obvious such as hurricanes, floods, fires and other natural disasters. You may also be prepping for family related emergencies such as job loss, extended illness, and the like.
Have you considered the impact of a cyber attack type disaster? Sure your first thought may be, “so the internet goes down for a while, not big deal.” Or is it? If you are like most you are paying bills on the internet, purchasing gas at the pump, swipping your card to buy groceries all is done via internet, this is why you should always have cash so you don’t have to rely on swiping our card.
